Ms. Bhattarai ensures the financial health and transparency of Nepal China Academy, managing everything from membership fee collection and annual budgets to grant disbursement and audit coordination with meticulous attention to institutional accountability.
Stewardship and Transparency
MBS Graduate of Tribhuwan University with finance as major subject, Bhattarai spent several years in the financial management sector before joining the Academy’s Executive Committee in 2021. Her professional career in business firms and non-profit NGO’s have proven invaluable in financial management of Academy.
She has introduced a digital financial management system that allows the Executive Committee to review budgets and expenditure in real time. Her insistence on transparent financial reporting has strengthened the Academy’s credibility with both Nepali and Chinese institutional partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and presenting the annual budget to the Executive Committee and General Assembly
- Managing all financial transactions, bank accounts, and investment portfolios
- Overseeing membership fee collection and financial record-keeping
- Coordinating with external auditors and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Processing grant disbursements for program funding
- Preparing quarterly financial statements for the Executive Committee
