Ojha brings a wealth of experience in international academic partnerships to his role as President, overseeing cultural exchange programs, scholarship coordination, and the Academy’s expanding network of university collaborations across China.
Bridge Builder
A graduate of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Tribhuvan University, Mr. Ojha earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Rural Development from Ratna Rajya Campus, Kathmandu. For more than two decades, he has been actively engaged in promoting Nepal–China people-to-people friendship and bilateral cooperation.
Professionally trained as an airline pilot, Mr. Ojha’s multilingual abilities and extensive cross-cultural experience have enabled him to serve as an effective facilitator of dialogue, cultural exchanges, and institutional cooperation between Nepal and the People’s Republic of China.
His association with China began in 1998 when he became a regular listener of China Radio International (CRI). Inspired by the long-standing historical friendship between the peoples of Nepal and China, he voluntarily dedicated himself to strengthening mutual understanding and people-to-people exchanges. After successfully leading the Pokhara CRI Listeners’ Club for seven years, he, with the encouragement and support of senior members of society and like-minded colleagues, founded the Nepal China Academy (NCA) in 2006.
The Nepal China Academy was formally inaugurated by His Excellency Sun Heping, then Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Nepal, in the presence of Mr. Bimal Prasad Dhakal, then Chief District Officer of Kaski, and Mr. Li Hua, Cultural Chief of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Nepal. On the same occasion, the Academy’s library, housing more than 1,000 books on China, Nepal, culture, history, diplomacy, and related subjects, was also inaugurated, reflecting the Academy’s commitment to promoting knowledge, research, and friendship between the two countries.

Friendship between nations is not built in conference halls alone — it grows in classrooms, in shared meals, in the exchange of stories between ordinary people who choose to understand one another.
