Dear Friends,

Namaste & Ni Hao

On behalf of our friendship association, I would like to welcome you to our website!

In 1955A.D., Nepal and China established its diplomatic ties but people from both countries have rejoiced cordial friendship since centuries. Himalayas were not barrier but they offered adventurous journey to meet heartfelt and sincere friends. Springs on our ways quenched our thirst.

In ancient period, our renowned figures Buddhabhadra, Princess Bhrikuti, Sculptor Araniko ;and Fa Xian, Xuan Zang along with other have greatly contributed to bring people from both countries closer for cooperation in different dynasties.

Likewise, in modern days, high-level and peoples’ level visits have also been conducted to strengthen our diplomatic ties and friendship bond. Recently, after 23 years, Rt. Hon. Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Nepal in an invitation of Rt. Hon. President of Nepal Bidhya Debi Bhandari.

In peoples’ level, members of the friendship associations, politicians, mediapersons, bureuocrats, teachers, students from both countries have visited each other.

Our formal relation is based upon five principles of peaceful co-existence that foster friendliness, understanding, mutual support, cooperation and respect for each other’s sensitivities.

Admiring all these features and activities, we established Nepal-China Academy in 2006 after successful operation of Pokhara China Radio International Listeners’ Club (2000). We have been voluntarily organizing friendship and knowledgeable program. Some of our members have also visited PRC to observe her beauty and developments achieved. Our members are always at front line to pursue knowledge and also contribute their expertise for the benefits of association, voluntarily.

Nepal also has signed on the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative on 12 May 2017 in Kathmandu. Since, it is an open and inclusive platform for worldwide collaboration and interaction, association will firmly promote BRI for the regional development and deepen our bilateral cooperation.

This website is not just limited to the information of Nepal-China Academy. It is set up for the people of both countries to communicate, and share knowledge and ideas.

Once again, welcome to NCA’s website! I would like to extend the best of wishes to you, and I believe your support will assist with our continued success.

Melsam Ojha
President
