Introduction
Nepal – China Academy, not-for-profit friendship association was established in 2006 with a view to study all round development of the Nepalese and Chinese Society by honoring the historical relation existing with the neighboring country “Peoples Republic of China” which is situated on the northern side of the sovereign and independent Nepal. Its foundation is Pokhara China RadioInternational Listeners’ Club (PCRILC) established in
2000A.D.
It is legally registered at the administration office of Ministry of Home Affairs of Nepal with positive feedback from the Chinese Embassy in Nepal and Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Nepal. It was inaugurated by H.E. Sun Heiping, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal (Sep 2003-Mar 2007).
It aims to strengthen Nepal-China relation that has been existing on the basis of Panchasheel and “Peaceful Co-existence. NCA’s self commitment to raise the Nepal-China relation to a new height along with the social goal of providing the knowledge regarding China to the Nepalese people as well as the Nepal related knowledge to the Chinese people. It shall operate the library and other programs to provide the knowledge.
Meaning of Logo:
1. Number “8” represents the month “August” – establishment of Nepal-China diplomatic ties and symbol for land link.
2. The Chinese character represents “friendship”
3. The “Bee” represents hardworking culture of Nepalese and Chinese people.
