The second executive committee served from 2011 to 2016, a period marked by the Academy’s historic first official delegation visit to Beijing — milestones that transformed the organization from a Pokhara-based initiative into a recognized bilateral friendship association.
Expanding the Mandate
Sushil Raj Parajuli, who had served as Vice President under the founding committee, brought continuity and ambition to the presidency. His leadership prioritized two strategic pillars: creating tangible exchange opportunities with China, and establishing the Academy’s presence beyond Nepal’s borders through direct institutional engagement with Chinese counterparts.
Several program partnered with Chinese Embassy’s cultural affairs offices were implemented.
