Nepal and China are good neighbors, good friends and good partners who are connected by mountains and rivers and share a common destiny. Since the two countries established diplomatic ties 66 years ago, both countries have always respected, trusted and supported each other, setting an example of equality, friendship, and mutually beneficial cooperation between neighboring countries. To promote such centuries old friendship, Nepal – China Academy (NCA) was established in December of 2006. The inauguration of NCA, not-for-profit friendship association, was accomplished in cordial presence of then Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, H.E. Sun Heiping. The intellectuals, students, media person and other professionals enthusiastically attended the inauguration program. Since it was established by the regular listeners of China Radio International (English and Nepali Service) in Pokhara, it received warm appreciation from the initial days.

NCA has successfully organized more than 70 friendship programs since its establishment in support of Nepali and Chinese governmental and non-governmental organizations. The programs included film festival, photo exhibition, cultural performance, language training programs etc. The organization also played vital medial role to establish sister city relation between Pokhara Metropolis and Linzhi City of Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), Budhanilkantha Municipal and Zhangjiajie City of Hunan Province in China. NCA is also a Permanent Secretariat of Nepal China Mayors’ Forum. The domestic and international media have prioritized the activities of NCA.

The number of members of Nepal China Academy has been above 100 by the end of December 2024 which comprise patron (former ambassadors, member of the national assembly above age 60), honorary (experts in different profession above age 50), executives and associate members. The organization has received 5 patron members, 10 diligent senior citizens with different expertise as honorific members. Besides, 9 Executive Members are elected from 27 General Members for the daily operation. The organization has also offer associate membership to citizens of different professionals such as media person, doctors, lawyers, pilots, agriculture and tourism entrepreneurs, municipal chairman/mayor, lawmakers, fine artists, teachers, professors etc.

The main objective of the organization is to establish sustainable friendship library in different parts of Nepal to promote the Five Principles of Peaceful Co-existence i.e. Panchasheel. NCA had also operated a library in its initial days and have gained ample of knowledge on library management.

The members and friends of NCA equally appreciate the culture and language of China and Nepal and cooperate to promote each other for the peaceful and harmonious society of humankind.

尼泊尔和中国是好邻居、好朋友、好伙伴，两国山水相连，命运与共。自66年前建交以来，双方始终相互尊重、相互信任、相互支持，树立了邻国之间平等友好、互利合作的典范。

为进一步弘扬和加强这一源远流长的友谊，尼中学院（Nepal-China Academy, NCA）于2006年12月正式成立，是一个非营利性友好协会。成立仪式由时任中国驻尼泊尔大使孙和平阁下出席并致辞，众多知识分子、学生、媒体人士及各界专业人士踊跃参加。NCA也是尼泊尔中国市长论坛的常设秘书处.由于该组织是由博卡拉的中国国际广播电台（CRI）英文和尼泊尔语听众所发起，自创立初期便得到了社会各界的热烈支持和广泛认可。

自成立以来，尼中学院已成功举办了70余场友好交流活动，与中尼两国的政府及非政府组织密切合作。这些活动包括电影节、摄影展览、文化演出、语言培训等。值得一提的是，NCA在推动博卡拉市与西藏自治区林芝市、布丹尼尔卡市与湖南省张家界市建立友好城市关系方面，发挥了重要的媒体协调作用。这些活动也多次被国内外主流媒体报道和关注。

截至2024年12月底，尼中学院的会员人数已超过100人，会员类别包括：

• 名誉顾问（Patron）：前大使、60岁以上的全国大会成员；
• 荣誉会员（Honorary）：50岁以上、具有不同专业专长的专家；
• 执行会员（Executives）；
• 普通及准会员（Associate Members）。

目前，学院已吸纳 5名名誉顾问，10位勤勉的拥有不同专长的资深人士作为荣誉会员。另有 27名普通会员中选举产生9名执行委员，负责日常运作。

此外，学院还向各界人士提供准会员资格，包括：新闻媒体人士、医生、律师、飞行员、农业和旅游企业家、市政主席/市长、议员、艺术家、教师、教授等。

尼中学院的主要使命之一是在尼泊尔各地建立可持续发展的“友谊图书馆”，以推广和平共处五项原则（即“班查希尔”）。协会早期曾成功运营过图书馆，在图书馆管理和文化推广方面积累了宝贵经验。

尼中学院的成员与友人积极学习和欣赏中尼两国的文化与语言，致力于推动和平、和谐的人类社会的建设。他们的共同努力，是中尼两国人民深厚友谊的真实写照和持续传承。
